African students at a scientific conference

During the scientific conference „Charitable activity as a manifestation of religious freedom” at UKSW, a report on the activities of Catholic charitable organizations in Poland was presented.

There are nearly 900 of them in the country. Which gives the Church the second place in the ranking of the largest aid networks. At the same time, it is an expression of how the most important commandment of love towards one’s neighbor should be implemented in practice.

„I want to thank the broadly understood Church in Poland for the great, continuous and consistent action of showing love for one’s neighbor in the country and abroad, regardless of the confession of this neighbor” – said Przemysław Czarnek, the head of MEiN.

As an example, the Minister indicated two actions: „Lublin region for Aleppo” and assistance to victims of trafficking in human beings in Kenya, which were organized with the participation of the Pontifical Foundation Aid to the Church in Need.

UKSW students from Africa took part in the conference. They presented the current situation of charity aid in selected African countries.
